Lucy’s Journey: From Shelter to Forever Home
We are thrilled to share a heartwarming update from the Brant County SPCA—after 335 days in our care, Lucy has finally found her forever home!
Lucy’s journey with us has been a long one, but it’s a story of resilience, love, and the perfect match. Lucy was transferred from our Moving Heart’s Program from a shelter in South Carolina. After nearly a year of waiting, Lucy’s life took a wonderful turn when she attended our Golf Day event. It was there that she met Shane, who instantly felt a connection with her.
Moved by Lucy’s gentle spirit, Shane decided to foster her. It didn’t take long for Shane to realize that Lucy was more than just a temporary companion—she was family. With every passing day, their bond grew stronger, and Shane knew that Lucy had already found her forever home in his heart.
We are so happy to celebrate Lucy’s “Gotcha Day,” a day filled with joy and gratitude. We are over the moon to see Lucy finally receive the love and care she’s always deserved.
To Lucy and Shane, congratulations on finding your perfect match! Lucy’s journey is just one of many, and we are so grateful to our supporters and community members who make stories like hers possible. Here’s to many more happy endings!
