Recently, the Brant County SPCA took in a cat not knowing what the outcome was going to be. Cricket was brought to us after falling out of a 4th floor window; he had severely injured his back legs and was in a lot of pain. After this tragic accident, the owners simply weren’t able to provide the level of care Cricket needed due to the severity of the injuries. Our Fospice program is perhaps one of the most rewarding programs we offer at the Brant County SPCA. It places animals who are terminally ill in incredible homes to live out their golden days. Doug is reunited with Cheeco, Shyanne and Buddy When you meet Doug, you can see how much he loves his animals. It’s written all over his face. Doug’s dogs are his best friends – and they show their love for him with their constant tail-wagging and cuddles. Doug is one of our Pets for Life clients. He has three long-haired Chihuahuas; Shyanne and Cheeco are parents to Buddy. Through our Pets for Life program at Winston Court, an affordable housing complex in Brantford, our Wellness Clinic team was able to assess Doug’s dogs, and give them the care they needed.
