As we all practice physical distancing to do our part in stopping COVID-19 we are working hard at the Brant County SPCA to continue to do our part for our community. Although our regularly scheduled food pantries through out the city have been cancelled to help combat the virus we are still doing our best to provide for those in need. We continue to supply the Brantford Food Bank with pet food for distribution and have also supported the Six Nations Food Bank and Animal Control by providing them with necessary dog and cat food. On March 4th Candy will face life changing surgery to remove the large benign masses on her mouth. On January 11th, our Animal Services Team members picked up Candy; a timid boxer with a sweet disposition and gentle touch. But there was something clearly going on that demanded medical attention. Several large masses hung from her mouth in a way that made you wonder how she ever ate or drank. She was posted to our Lost and Found Facebook Page where she immediately made waves.
