Animals in care at the Brant County SPCA
If you recognize one of these animals to be your pet, we encourage you to contact the shelter directly at 519-756-6620 Monday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 10am-5pm. Contacting the shelter directly allows us to be able to assist in booking an appointment to come to the shelter to identify your lost pet as well as discuss in detail the protocol for claiming a lost pet from the Brant County SPCA.
When claiming a lost pet, you will need:
• Personal Photo Identification
• Proof of ownership of the animal (Veterinary records, adoption records, registered microchip, etc)
• Leash for dogs
• Carrier for cats (Cardboard carriers are available for purchase at the shelter for $10.00 + HST)
• If you reside in the City of Brantford, you are required to have a current license tag for dogs (must be attached to the dog prior to leaving) **Please note we no longer issue licensing**
• There will be fees associated with claiming an animal. We accept cash, Debit, Visa or Mastercard.
Animals who have crossed the rainbow bridge have been identified as such through our rainbow icon.
