Are you a Laurier student who loves animals? Consider fostering with the Brant County SPCA!
Fostering offers the opportunity to imagine how your life could look if you choose to bring an animal into your home. It provides you with learning experiences, a loving companion and the opportunity to help an animal in need! We know school can be expensive, and while fostering you shouldn’t have to worry about the costs associated with the animal’s care! The Brant County SPCA covers the cost of food, litter and medication of your temporary roomie. If you’re able to transport the animal to vet visits etc, amazing! But if not, we will arrange for pick up and drop off.
Animals have been shown to help relieve stress and anxiety, and think of how rewarding it will feel to know that your temporary study-buddy will find a loving home when the time comes. After evaluating your application (which will help identify what type of animal you’d be willing to welcome into your life), our team will help match you with a foster that suits you and your situation best.
Without foster parents opening up their home to these animals in desperate need of comfort and security our capacity to provide care for them would be severely compromised. Becoming a foster parent means you are becoming an integral part of our organization, and are helping to save the lives of animals who ended up in the shelter system through no fault of their own.
