Whether you’ve lost your pet or found someone else’s let our community know by filing a report with us. This way we can expand your reach to increase the chances of reuniting animals with their families. **Please note: It can take at least 24 hours for your report to show on our website, we appreciate your understanding and patience**
Please note by leaving a lost report with us does not guarantee the return of your lost pet. As we do our best to match reports to animals that come into our care, there is always a chance of error. This could be a result of the description given of the animal, the location in which it is found or that there was no permanent identification on the pet that was brought in.
If you see an animal posted on the Brant County SPCA Lost & Found Facebook page you believe may be your lost pet, we recommend contacting the shelter directly to book an appointment to walk thru and confirm the identity of your pet.
Please note we only keep reports on file for 30 days so if your pet is still missing after 30 days you may wish to call in again with a lost report.
Please be advised that if you choose to house the animal you have found you could be exposing yourself, your family and your pets to the potential of unknown diseases, parasites, injury from bites/scratches, or damage to your home.
Should an owner be found, you are required to release that animal to the rightful owner. Furthermore, if you want to adopt this animal you should know that unless the animal is adopted through a recognized agency, an owner could turn up at any time and take possession of the animal, even after a reasonable amount of time has passed.
Please note we only keep reports on file for 30 days. After 30 days you may wish to call in again with a lost report.
